Welcome to this new blog of the book: «Archaeological Guide to the Iberian Peninsula – Spain. From the Colonizations to the fall of the Western Roman Empire» (title translated from Spanish!). In this section (that I will try to make as enjoyable as possible), in order to promote Archaeological Tourism in the Iberian Peninsula, I will gradually post a variety of information related to visitable places: monuments, archaeological sites or museums; the latter also including the so called Interpretation Centers (Centros de Interpretación) and similar places (and I know I’m not a purist), dedicated to the disclosure of knowledge about archaeology. I’m not an archaeologist, thus, neither scientific approaches nor assumptions will be shared through this blog, for it is not its purpose. There are many people who invest their time and effort in this great profession, and thanks to them, we are rewarded with knowledge of our past that helps us to understand the present. However, of course, visions about history, feelings and experiences will appear. The archaeological heritage belongs to all of us, we should all respect it, care for it and preserve it for future generations, to remind them where we came from. The aim of this blog is to raise awareness of it. Furthermore, I will try to make it a multilingual blog. The reference language is Spanish, but all posts will also be translated into English. Besides, you can contact me also in German, French, Italian or Portuguese.
